Thanks, Michael.

The whole is greater than the sum of the (already outstanding) parts.

Don M should check out this thread; Kingsley, Belvedere, West Links -- a lot of the 'sustainability' questions seem to be answered there, in deed if not in words.

Michael - Thanks for the photos.  Great stuff.

You and Eric Smith should talk about cowboy outfits.  I am anticipating Eric walking into the 5th Major looking like you do in that picture.

I have lebanese blood in me - I would look like a fool in that get up.

Bogey,

Great photos as always, I was excited that I have actually played all of those courses until I got to the West Links picture.  I will have to add it to the long list!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The underrated par 5 14th.  I believe that original green was sited left of its current location but required the acquisition of additional property which was not available.

 8) Looks like looking back on #14, the long par 5 on back 9..   frankly i prefer the view up #15.. but 14 is a great blind driving hole if you like to take on the right side

nice old Fender Bogey!

Regardless of what hole it is, I need to get to Kingsley.  Place looks great and northern Michigan is a special place - despite being in Michigan  ;).  It pains me that Ohio does not have an area as gorgeous as northern Michigan.

Thanks for sharing Tim's photograph.  It shows how one must carefully measure the second shot and think twice as the fairway dramatically constricts as it approaches the green.  It also shows the handiwork of Mike DeVries with the excellent interior green contouring.  What's not shown is the risk reward tee shot across a rock out-cropping.  Perhaps my favorite hole at Kingsley.

The right side of the green looks interesting.  Almost looks like an "E" green.  Is it a punchbowl effect or a collection area over there?

Bogey, if next time I see you, and I can ply you with enough Tennessee nectar, would you kindly regale us in the entire circumstances of how you came to be in that get-up, in that place?  I mean a guy doesn't just put on that outfit and drive on down to the Ryman;  do they?  I mean, sure we can put on our Sons of the Pioneers outfits and chase the little lady around the bunk house with cap guns blazing... but do you go out in public like that down there?   ;D ;) 8)

Now that you've posted the picture evidence; you are almost obligated to attend the 5th Major and show up at the fire pit in full performance garb, with guitar and pass out sing-a-long song sheets from the best of the real country western haydaze.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Michael - it is a really good green (not uncommon at Kingsley Club).  There are three somewhat distinct levels to the green, with the highest level at the back.  But then there is a ton of minor movement in the green throughout.  Lots of great pin placements on this green.  The shaved area left of the green comes into play a lot due to the nastiness of the greenside bunkers on the right.

A great hole and one of my favorites on the course.

George, thanks for the photo of the tee shot at Kingsley's 14th.  How could I forget it's bunkers since I was smack dab in the middle of them!  A really good driving hole for the bomber.

Great stuff Bogey. You've gone and made Fridays even more enjoyable.

May I add my Pritchett's Punchbowl Panorama with requisite Pritchett?

I am a big fan of the Buckles, a Portland OR band that combines Buck Owens and the Buckaroos AND the Beatles.
Their set list typically kicks off with such Buck gems as "I've Got the Hungries for Your Love [and I'm Waiting in Your Welfare Line]" and rolls into Beatles classics.

Bogey's Nudie suit reminded me of them.   ;D
