Sagebrush without Dick Zokol New
« on: February 17, 2012, 01:54:06 AM »
I have been lucky to know Dick Zokol for a very long time. He really did love Sagbrush.
Just told me 'it's time to move on'.

Sandy - How is Mr. Zokol doing now?  Any news on Sagebrush?

Dan,

Not to jump in front of Sandy, but Dick's doing great. He's at Predator Ridge now, handling a bunch of golf-related stuff there. Last time we spoke, he was having fun with this new gig and is excited about prospects for the future there.

Sagebrush is fine too. A new Rod Whitman-designed short game practice area is being installed as we speak, along with some of the accommodation cottages that have always been in the plans. Terry Donald, who was Dick's original partner, is still very much involved at Sagebrush.

Hey Dan,
As Jeff said Dick is doing great. He and Joanie are enjoying the Okanagan very much. His departure from Sagebrush was probably not on the terms of what he wanted or expected but life moves on. I can say that Terry Donald is doing a wonderful job in creating a very cool Sagebrush experience even though Dick is sorely missed. Especially at dinner time in the Hideout!
You can also look forward to another Zokol creation if the economy turns around at Predator Ridge. Dick says that he can envision a third course there to rival Sand Hills.
And to Mr McBride,  thanks for the kind words. It was a great day.
Firm greens, firmer fairways.
