Hi GCA,
my name is Angela Moser, I'm a 26 year old (female) German Landscape Architect spezialising on Golf Course Design. My parents don't play golf, so I started to play golf through a sumer programme of my hometown when I was nine years old. I played on a tournament level and still contribute my skills for the women's team of my homeclub (we don't have college teams) from time to time. Falling in love with the landscapes and different hole strategies, I was studying at the University of applied Science Weihenstephan, Munich with having a scholarship for the University of Sheffield, England where I was able to study some of Englands and Scottish' greatest golf courses. 2009 I was working for the Greenkeeper crew at Golfclub Munich-Eichenried, host of the European Tour's BMW Open. While finishing my diploma thesis entitled "Plants on Golf Courses - Recommendation for South-Eastern Europe", I was working in an Austrian Golf Design office. After working for them for one year I needed to get out of the office, back into the nature onto sites and building golf courses. So, I was working for a german GC construction company on a 9H project in Munich. I was very lucky to get in touch with Renaissance Golf Design and Tom Doak, who invited me to work as an internee in the field at the Renaissance Club at Archerfield, Scotland last summer. That's when I heard about it the first time and got addicted to GCA.
Although having some office skills, I decided to set up myself as an independent shaper on sites. I so much enjoyed working on heavy equipment and hope to continue shortly...
Well, that's my story...
