Would Pebble be better if...

...the routing of 10,11, and 12 was clockwise instead of counter-clockwise? So what I am suggesting is that after 9, you play a par 3 that heads to the northeast to a green somewhere near the current 12th green. Then #11 is a par 4 on the same piece of land, just running in the opposite direction and finishing near the current 11 tee/10 green. Then the new #12 runs across by the ocean where the current 10th is, but in the opposite direction. It would probably be much shorter but would be an uphill hole and would break up the monotony of playing so many oceanside holes in the same general direction.

I have never played Pebble, so don't know if it would work with the topography, and if the new #12 would be too short, but you would have some freedom where the new 10th green would go and the new 11 could actually play longer than the current 11th. Also, with the new 11, you would get another hole playing towards the ocean for a better backdrop.

Thoughts?

Paul Cowley has proposed largely the same thing... http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,36996.0.html
