The hardest bit is going to be perfecting that reverse swing--i.e. looking away from the "target" and hittingthte ball in your "backswing" (preferably with a set of left-handed clubs).

I have tentative plans to be in Fife for this unusual day; if my sponsor will pony-up some of the expenses. A narrative of the day, with a few interviews.... and photographs.  has anyone played backwards here?  I am decorating a sweet Balsam with my sponsor, at present.

Tom,

I Posted a thread about playing The Old Course in reverse about a year ago.  I was fascinated by the concept that a course designed one way, but currently played in reverse, could be so good.  Was it a random flash of good luck,
was it planned from the start ?

How good is the reverse routing, how well does it play.

It's been a golfing dream of mine to play it in reverse the same day I play it in its current routing, and then try to determine which I perfered.

Has anyone played it backwards, and what do you think ?

I remember hearing Scott Hoch say. on Golf Talk Live, that it should be played backwards since it looks like it would play better that way.  I wonder if he has his tee time yet. ;)
