I don't know why you don't play golf or care, but I will give you credit for not being lazy. I would suggest you do the same for me and my many friends who enjoy playing out of a cart.
The only reason golf was ever associated with walking 600 years ago is because walking was the most efficient mode of transportation available. The electric cart is the most efficient method today. 600 years from now there will be something far better. It's still the same game.
