Venturing way out on a limb, I'll say the 17th.
- A puzzling low profile with no visual prompts (made all the better because thanks for TV in your mind's eye you know exactly what awaits)
- I am sucker for playing toward the ocean.
- A green size and shape ill-suited for the distance required (as opposed to Garaminals architecture).
- Two distinct holes depending on the pin placement.
- Elasticity.
- Total exposure to the elements.
- A welcoming safe harbor option short right resulting in a simple pitch down the length of the green.
- The entire left half is a sucker play.
- You tell me what part of the game it does not test: Iron play, short game, putting?
- Quirk.
- The fact that most people don't like it notwithstanding that it has been the venue for two of the greatest shots in modern major championship golf.
- A 3 there is a life-time memory.
- No par three in the world is a better test for the world's best players.
Second place tie: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18.
