For courses that I've played, this is the first one that always pops into my mind.

7 at Inverness

While I did not get down to Royal Ashdown Forest to play it when I lived in London, there has to be a few holes that fit this description on the old course - the best maybe 6 & 12.

Holes I have played and think are either great, completely unique, or just really fun to play such that you don't even notice the lack of bunkers...

Ballybunion Old - 11
St. Enodoc - 3 & 10 (I really liked the 1st as an opener as well with the view as you crest the hill)
Woking - 9
Deal - 1 (into a stiff breeze to open your round), 4, 18 (6 has a single bunker that doesn't really come into play)
Kennember - 2

Cannot think of any off the top of my head in the US.

TOC 18th Hole is by definition a great Hole, albeit if you are leading The Open or any other Tournament and walking up the fairway for the final round. In fact to many it is the greatest Hole in Golf

Great I believe certainly defines this Hole, however on a day to day basis that might not be the case, well unless it’s a Hickory game you are playing.

There's a bunker behind the green on the 15th at Kingsley.  I was in it this year.

And what the heck happened to the approach on the 7th at Inverness?  It looks like it slid off the hill!

does number 4 at Bandon have any bunkers?

Number 12 at Kingsley is a pretty good hole without any bunkers...

There's one on the inside outside of the dogleg and at least one greenside left.

There are two at Stone Eagle

#1 it has a pretty open tee shot but the approach shot is very hard

#4 also has a huge fairway, but rewards the best angle to a green with a big hump right in the middle with two pockets on each side

I don't believe that #10 at Pacific Dunes has a "bunker".  It certainly has sand dunes, but I don't remember a bunker.

The par-5 on the front nine at Wild Horse in Nebraska.  The 6th I believe? Great use of land on that snaking par-5.

2 at Huntercombe, 18 at Kington (in fact, several candidates at Kington)
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Jeepers, Kington has 9, 12, 13 & 18.

I think Huntercombe's 3rd is a better candidate.

Yelverton has 16 & 17 - zowie!

It's truly sad that having a good hole without bunkers is noteable

17 has no bunkers...

But I think 7 is the better example.  A very unique downhill par 4 without bunkers as well. Neat hole!

I believe the 18th at Fox Chapel is bunkerless.  Very good par 5 finishing hole with a creek meandering along the right side, then crossing the fairway about 150 yards out.
2016 Highlights:  Streamsong Blue (3/17); Streamsong Red (3/17); Charles River Club (5/16); The Country Club - Brookline (5/17); Myopia Hunt Club (5/17); Fishers Island Club (5/18); Aronomink GC (10/16); Pine Valley GC (10/17); Somerset Hills CC (10/18)

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL about having bunkers or not? Jesus Montoya, this place is driven to extremes sometimes. Honestly, stick a bunker somewhere on Foxy and if it's subtle and strategic enough, no one will care. It's a random act of architecture that a hole has or does not have a bunker.

Ron,

Natural hazards can often dictate play better than man made bunkers.  This requires good land and that is what we all agree can make a great hole.  Bunkers are sometimes random - for better or worse...the absence of bunkers is anything but random!  Go watch "The Swing"! ;)

How about #5 at the Dunluce?

And there are SEVERAL bunkers behind and to the left of the 15th green at Kingsley (and I would advise visiting them if you like a good challenege and are willing to laugh at yourself).
