Don't Be "That Guy"

I spent the last 8 days on the road playing all over the Gulf Coast, I left Texas and went far enough east to beat up on McBride. All the time in the car got me thinking about golf, people, life, and other things. I had planned a 3 day trip to Biloxi for sometime but with the recent death of my Father I knew I needed to have a golf orgy.

 With 12 rounds in 8 days I enjoyed some wonderful courses, I am very blessed that I have gotten to play some of the courses I have. I am also blessed that I've gotten to play with many people all over America including many GCA'ers. The vast majority of GCA'ers are people, enjoy playing golf and enjoying new courses. Then there are those who I liked to call "that guy." I came up with this list as I drove SEC Country and all these have come from the mouths of GCA'ers.

I don't like blind shots, Scottish golf is stupid and not golf.
If a par 5 can't be reached in two then it's a bad hole.
Every course should be Top 100 quality
Every round should take 4 hours so I get my monies worth.
I don't like to play public courses.
I won't play Bandon or Pebble because anyone can.
Bunkers should always be perfect.
If greens aren't running 11+ then I don't want to play them.

Feel free to add more, I have a list that I started writing, I need to get it out of my car.

Look no further than the modern sickness that has infected our once great game, alas reduced to cart driving dick heads who for some stupid reason think they are playing golf. To play golf Sam you have to walk otherwise you are not playing the game.

Do hope you recover from the sun stroke soon as you bear a proud name, if only you would remember that when talking crap.

Do wish you a nice day but do keep up with the medication, it shows when you forget to take them.

You yourself can be a bit of a dickhead, Melvyn.  Sam came to play with me and we walked.  Where does it say in his opening post that he rode a cart?   He did mention a beer cart but not riding one.
