Liscannor pitch and putt ("the only links pitch and putt in the world"?)

Wrong!   There's anthoer one about 10 miles away at Doolin.  Wil need to play it again to pronounce which is the "Best links P&P in the World". Doolin has THE BEST sklyline green. Its a pimple, only 50 yards from you and byond it lies Rio De Janiero!

Liscannor would also be in my last 10 (also played this year the P&P at Enniscrone).  Great fun and the key is to play these things early (they tend to open about 10) before the families get on them. I can't remember the cost, 4 euro?

What do you think Brian, I believe any of this group would have a ball there.

Hope there's a Doonbeg tour coming as I don't think I've ever seen a long report on it.

Dooks
Ballybunion New and Old
Liscannor P&P
Lahinch
Gullane 3
The Players Club, Stranahan (also played a few holes of it's P&P course - with USGA greens!)
Cleeve Hill
North Berwick
Deal
Let's make GCA grate again!

When did this thread loose the (personal) Doak scale from your lists?

Prospector at Suncadia, WA - 5
Rope Rider at Suncadia, WA - 7
Jackson Park (a Seattle muni), WA - 3 (trying to get my son ready for golf team tryouts, ugh.)
Aldarra CC, WA - 7+
Bear Creek CC, WA - 4 (at least it was for a good cause)
Marine Drive GC, BC Canada - 7 (Course was a 7, but the company here and at Sagebrush was an 11!)
Sagebrush, BC Canada - 8
Portmarnock, Ireland - 8+
Royal County Down, N. Ireland - 10
Ballybunion, Ireland - 9
Lahinch, Ireland - ? played in rain driven by 25 mph winds gusting to 50.  My caddie never looked so happy as when I said enough on the 13th tee.  They were playing a local tournament the same day.  I have never heard so much cussing in my life as in the locker room after my round, and I think I missed a few choice words - lost to my American ears through the accent of the Irish speaker.
(I know the list is 11; I can count.)

All Nine courses played in Ireland
Ballyneal
Lawsonia
Prairie Dunes
Crystal Downs (25 mph winds or might be higher)
Flossmoor
Summerby
Ravisloe
George Dunne
Schaumburg

Dan,

If you meant Somerby near Rochester, Minn., I'd be interested to know what you thought of it. I've never played it, but Lehman usually does good work.

Mark, I'm going to send you pictures (your email may clog up) ;D
and when you see them, you'll know exactly what a first time player sees there-----nothing!
you guys talk about skyline greens
how about skyline fairways?
most strategic course I play...firm and fast even with the crabgrass
severe tilt and slope to greens encourages driving to proper side of fairway/rough

Rockliffe Hall, England
Marc,

Welcome to GCA.  Most on here won't realise that you designed Rockliffe.  Was this the first time you had been back since it opened?  I haven't played it yet but am due to in the next few months.  Are you happy with how the course has turned out?  What would you say a player playing it for the first time should look out for?
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.
