Why were they on CBS?  I'm in Scotland so I couldn't see.

Why were they on CBS?  I'm in Scotland so I couldn't see.

It was some sort of CBS Sports magazine show.  Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore were interviewed at Bandon at the new par 3 course, Bill talked a bit about how GCAs find the best holes.  Also briefly talked about new emphasis on brown and talked about #2.

Then were was a pretty dumb interview with some broadcasters about what's wrong with golf today (I guess as it affects the pros) and I dozed off.

I wish I was in Scotland.

I thought it was actually pretty decent. Talked about how "Tiger-proofing" courses has resulted in ridiculous length and absurd maintenance costs. Seemed to be a big push for brown courses that force the player to work the ball rather than merely bombing it. I thought the little bit about C&C's initial reluctance to get involved at Pinehurst was interesting as well.
