I think what Jim Colton is doing is just fantastic. My last offer to sell my copy of The Confidential Guide to benefit Ben Cox 108 got lost in the excitement of a Ben Cox 108 thread, so I set up an Ebay auction.

100% of the proceeds goes to Ben Cox 108.

This is the red cover book.

This was signed by Tom Doak to my son Dylan with a promise to Tom by me that I would not sell it. I have asked for and received permission from Tom to sell it and he will also sign the book for the new owner. We can work out the logistics.

Thanks and good luck to the Ben Cox family.

If there is significant interest in Mike's book, I would offer my similar copy as well for the cause, as long as it is OK with Tom...

Great idea Mike, I'll start it off.

Great work today by everyone.

Of course, I am happy to sign the book for the winning bidder.

And the bids should start at $500, otherwise I will buy it myself to get a copy back.

Given that this is Sweeney's, I'm questioning the book's provenance.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Mike's not Canadian, is he?
Big drivers and hot balls are the product of golf course design that rewards the hit one far then hit one high strategy.  Shinny showed everyone how to take care of this whole technology dilemma. - Pat Brockwell, 6/24/04

No, but Peter Pallotta is.

Done.

Just one note of clarity, I will ask Jim to put all the raffle tickets in the name of the winning bidder (rather than mine). Thus under the current bid of $611, that would be 12+ tickets under the current system as I understand it.

Thanks to all.

Sweeney, you are an inspiration to the regifter in all of us.

Jim Colton

Mike,

Transferring the tickets to the winning bidder just made the item that much more valuable. Considering a raffle ticket is worth approximately the same as the amount donated, one can view it as getting the book for free!

Jaka,

Not all of us on the Doak "A" team like you. Some of us paid for Tom's book back in the day.  :-*

I am a skier, golfer, caddie, father of a Special Needs son and I love playing golf in The Sand Hills. If I can't get behind The Cox Family, what am I doing here? Easy decision.....

Bill,

Jaka meant well, he is just difficult for many to understand. He has his own set of Special Needs.  ;)
