Jason Day.  Saturday.  3rd shot on 15.  After going for the green and plunking the ball off one of the pine trees behind the green, lobbing the ball onto the green, without it going into the water.

That had "are you kidding me?" written all over it.

What about Cabrera's Lob Wedge over the bunker on 11?  Talk about cahones....

Charl Schwartzel's putt on 18. Simply because I had money on him to win at 110/1!

On a serious note, I loved Tiger's 3 wood on 8, and Rory's low spinning wedge on 3 one of the earlier days.

I also noted Tiger wince in pain after hitting his approach shot on 18.

That's two years in a row where tigers putter let him down.  That shot on 6 was great--swing was similar to the one on 8.  He hit a hard hook at the middle of the green and away from the trouble and it spun dead left down to the pin.  Looked like it did exactly what he expected it to do.  Would like to see the swing tracer on both of those shots.  Maybe that's another network.  Never thought it would happen but I may be becoming a Tiger Woods fan.

The best part about Tiger's shot on 6 was that Faldo was telling the world it was impossible to get it below the hole location right as Tiger hit the ball. Not bad, teaching new tricks to a 3-time winner.

My favorite shot on 8 was the player(?) who went for the flag aggressively and got a nasty bounce off the first bump - ball runs off the back right of the green.
That was my 2nd favorite shot of the day - perfect opposite of my favorite - both very good architecture.

Cheers

Jason Day, first timer hit it straight at it?

Favorite shot - Tiger on 17 on Saturday from under the Eisenhower Tree.  I'll remember that for a while

That did appear to be some wincing due to real pain. Even with some theatrics, he spent a good few seconds there trying to compose himself. There's been a lot of violent golf swinging performed by that body over the years...it has to take its toll sooner or later.

Pick any one of Tiger's missed short putts.  I enjoyed all of them.

I actually laughed at all three.  Has he lost his nerves at 35?!

Scott's shot into 16 for along with Tiger's shot into 8.

Adam Scott's tee shot on 16 on Sunday sticks out the most to me.  Is there any at least decently well-known shot in golf where the player and viewer can be captivated for as many seconds as it takes for the ball to roll up the slope just so and mosey back down by the hole?  It's probably the shot I'd look forward to the most if I ever had the chance to play ANGC.

Ditto on Cabrera's lob on 11.  It was one of those, "I remember his name, but just can't seem to place it" moments.  A really incredible shot.

I wonder if you get to pick the pins if you play ANGC?!  That would be pretty sweet! Would love to hit an approach (or 2nd shot) into 15 with that far left Saturday pin.

A friend of mine who plays on Canadian Tour said he played with Cabrera at the Argentine Open a few years back.  He mentioned that best shot he has seen to this day was a short sided bunker shot Angel hit.  He says the guys hands are soft as silk!

Brad, I've seen your putting.  Feel sorry for Tiger.  Of course, me with the long Adam Scott putter can't say too much.  I was hoping he would win.  My putters value would have doubled.  But back to Tiger for a moment.  Good putting requires empty brain. (Careful Brad!)

Tiger's sand shot on 9 that was able to stay on the correct shelf. He made the 15' putt for par, but, the sand shot was key to saving his 31. Too bad he didn't finish strong.

"In golf, customs of etiquette and decorum are just as important as rules governig play. It is appropriate for spectators to applaud successfulstrokes in proportion to diffculty but excesive demonstrations by a player or his partisans are not proper because of the possible effect upon other competitors.

Most distressing to those who love the game of golf is the applauding or cheering of misplays or misfortunes of a player. I didn't want Tiger to win, but in my mind he still hits shots you don't see from anyone else, except perhaps Phil. Bloody impressive to watch.
