I have seen brevity in the golf swing process and what it can do!!
I brought my lovely golden retriever out to the golf course this Sunday afternoon and found that she needs training as a golf companion. I will confess that GCA inspired me to introduce the dog to my NJ club as we have recently threaded about Swinley Forest and St. Georges Hill and how prevalent the canine population is there. I will need to drill into my dog a better sense of "stay" while I am am addressing and hitting the ball! What was very interesting in the process was that I was forced to make a number of "rushed" shots as she (golden retriever) would not leave me alone in the midst of it all.
Quickly, I would just step up and hit the ball. Holy crap!, I hit some of the most magnificent shots I have seen in years. No practice swings at all, just set up and go. Beautiful draws right in to the pin.
Lesson...
We belabor way too much in our minds with practice swings and routine. Just step up and strike the ball and you will marvel at the results!
