2011 GCA Headlines We Would Like To See
« on: January 01, 2011, 12:06:02 PM »
I hope this doesn't overlap the wish list thread too much, but the DMN had a cute "Headlines we would like to see" article for 2011, with things like ""Bin Laden Captured" etc.

What would we like to see for gca headlines this year?

One I won't want to see is "Ground Hogs Day - Not just a movie plot, a script for 2011 Golf Development" >:( :( ::) :'(

Gib,

I think the more likely headline would be TePaul and David Moriarity recreate famous Duel at San Fran Golf Club!

Knowing Damian, I think he would apply for asylum in France if TN came back.

Jeff,

I can easily imagine a duel between Wayne Morrison and I, but just as Arnie needed Jack as his foil, Tom needs David and visa versa. It gives texture to their lives.

Plus, Tom Paul would inevitably whip out evidence that Flynn - and not Tille - who designed SFGC. Moriarty would counter that he has secret evidence that it was actually a very early Pete Dye design.

Maybe we should pit the two of them in the outdoor hockey game instead of in golf.

TePaul might make a Flynn claim, to bolster sales of that long overdue Flynn book.  That said, its not David who has ever implied his evidence is secret.  We would be wary of any 1916 SF Chronicle article claiming Pete Dye designed SF, no matter how much David argued it was "contemporaneous evidence."

BTW, that reminds me of a headline I really would like to see:

"Flynn Book Arrives in Stores."

It would probably come with one or another sub headline:

Amazon Rainforest Depleted due to Paper Demand

or

Edited to half original length by (fill in the blank)"
Second Edition Cancelled

White House report Pat Mucci and TE Paul to have Peace Summit at Camp David with David M. Actually I like Gib's so much, I defer to his 2011 idea. I hope the GCA world is full of health and happiness and filled with great golf.

Fair enough.  It is a bit of a cop out for me to have two schools to root for against Tech in consecutive games.  Either way, college football in our home state is in bad shape right now.
