This is one I got from my cell phone camera at Black Mesa. Sitting on the porch, eating lunch after my first 18, getting ready for a 2nd 18. Overlooking 9 green and 1 in the distance. Not a cloud in the sky. At that moment, life was good  :)

Melvyn,

I visited the revamped Old Tom Morris - Pat Ruddy course in 2008 with Ernie Payne when he was
was on his quest to play every course ever designed by the Great Man (he finished that particular
exercise when participated in the first Open at Askernish, incidentally).

We played the Sandyhills course the next day and Ernie said it was the HARDEST 18 holes he had
ever played - and that statement, coming from a man who has played EVERY one of the 600(ish)
courses in Scotland lets you know a trip to Rosapenna is not for the faint of heart!

Jim

Ernie and his Ultimate Challenge, Wow.

Remarkable and what an achievement. (http://www.erniepaynegolf.co.uk/ultimate.html )

I was honoured when he agreed to take on my challenge. We both were so please that the last course was Askernish and Ernie was in the first four with Kenny. He told me later that he had a great time at Askernish and most of the courses treated him very well, although the less said about Muirfield the better.

This is a pic of my friend, Terry Tjorhom, on the 12th green at Sagebrush, with his dog, "Bud", who spent a wonderful day with us.

Brian - so many good things about that photo, the flexibility of being young, the Nicklaus head tilt and finally, the kid rocking the one iron ...

From last month.  The flag tells you where it is!

The panorama is the entry.  The two following photos are to show the hole, one from the tee and one from behind the green.

Here's some more fog on #4 tee at Pacific.  I give our group credit as we didn't lose a ball for the entire round.

Nice memory.

About 45 seconds after you took this photo I hit it right into the bosom of the Pacific. ;)

I thought this was a one photo thread?

I have struggled to find just one because of the incredible trip I had to the US in July - but I had to pick ONE!

....a strangely similar feeling to my first KISS concert in 1979 at Waverly Park - KISS army and all  ;D
