For Melvyn, which hole on the Andrews Links is this?

Ulrich

8th hole on the New??  I'm sure Melvyn never goes in bunkers.....

EDIT..hmm, now I look at it again I think their might be more banking above the bunker on the 8th hole.

@Simon:
Not too bad, Sir! The 8th hole it is, alas not on the New Course :)

Joe,

Great picture, Is it St. George's?

Yes, that is the par 3 15th at St. George's.  Looks much like the GW cover photo a few weeks back, eh?
It looks a bit like a pic I posted last month.

If a player insists on playing his maximum power on his tee-shot, it is not the architect's intention to allow him an overly wide target to hit to but rather should be allowed this privilege of maximum power except under conditions of exceptional skill.

Jim Colton's may be the best I've seen yet.  I miss Ballyneal so much.

This pic for Uncle George.

And this was my moment of the year.

Turning the corner and into the fog, #4 Bandon Dunes. Note the moon in the sky, and you can't see the green.

No matter how many times you play in Bandon, it will always be different, and great in a new way!

Thanks

Jason, No. We've been playing 6 and 7 somes (today). Plus, there's someone always late, or, has to leave early. (Especially when one is a local mortician.) We've even tried Wolf (Captains), where the captain gets two picks. It's worked out very well.

for Pat Mucci - his son, then age 4, hitting a bunker shot at Pine Tree

made the putt for a great up and down

Got my first chance to see Michelle Wie back in Feb.

I had followed her through 17 holes with small galleries, but for some reason it was ten deep at the 18th tee.

So I just held my camera above my head, waited to hear contact, and clicked .

For me, my best photo of the year, and I should do it more often has been the comments  ::)

My 9 year-old son Dan on his first visit to Reddish Vale on a very cold December morning.

He hit a fantastic 3-wood straight at a tree.  Looking at this photo I can see why! :)

Where's the fairway??  Great looking set up!  Once he starts lining them up, there won't be any stopping him!

The fairway's just above Dan's hat. It's a 130 yard carry and he would have made it too, if he'd been aiming the right way!

It was a magical couple of hours and it was a joy to see his face when I pulled the set of junior clubs out of the trunk of my car for him as an early Christmas present.
