Here is an actual sign posted at a golf club in Scotland.
1. BACK STRAIGHT, KNEES BENT, FEET SHOULDER WIDTH APART.

2. FORM A LOOSE GRIP.

3. KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!

4. AVOID A QUICK BACK SWING.

5. STAY OUT OF THE WATER.

6. TRY NOT TO HIT ANYONE.

7. IF YOU ARE TAKING TOO LONG, LET OTHERS GO AHEAD OF YOU.

8. DON'T STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF OTHERS.

9. QUIET PLEASE...WHILE OTHERS ARE PREPARING.

10. DON'T TAKE EXTRA STROKES.

WELL DONE... NOW, FLUSH THE URINAL,  WASH YOUR HANDS AND GO OUTSIDE, AND TEE OFF.

Now that's sure to grow the game! ;D ??? :-[
"I said in a talk at the Dunhill Tournament in St. Andrews a few years back that I thought any of the caddies I'd had that week would probably make a good golf course architect. We all want to ask golfers of all abilities to get more out of their games -caddies do that for a living." T.Doak

The "loose grip" is essential.  Sam Snead described his grip pressure as light enough so that a bird wouldn't be injured.  Perfect.   ;D

Good one, Mark!

Would the sign below be considered “reliable” since it’s from a noted golf course near Pinehurst?  ;D

I'm told it used to be Pan-Am Airlines that posted bathroom signs that read:

"If you sprinkle when you tinkle,
Please be neat and wipe the seat.
Our aim is to keep this place clean
And your aim would help!"

I have told this story before, but after a horrible putting round with Pete Dye at Muirfield, he and I visited the urinals after the round. I stepped up and he stepped back, saying "I'll wait. You'll probably miss this one left, too!"
