Jeff, was thinking the same, heard that Tony Pioppi, (hope I spelled correctly) from Golfweek was going to auction.

It looks like they sold parcel #1 for $465,000, which includes the course, buildings and equipment.  A very good buy however I must say to the new ownership  GOOD LUCK !!!!!

The story of locals make good (hopefully) makes me definately want to go visit.

Maybe an initial boost to revenues will allow them to develop some lodging?

it appears from reading the Golf Digest article that the new owners plan on maintaining the course as a public facility. that's fantastic news, i had planned to drive south to n.d. to play red mike this upcoming summer, and was surprised and frightened when the auction thread was posted. it's comforting to know another good golf course will remain in the public domain.
