The Highlands of Elgin Oct. 17 (Pics Added)
« on: October 05, 2010, 10:46:40 AM »
Hello all,

I was curious if any GCAers wanted to get together for a round on Sunday Oct. 17? I was thinking Pine Meadow or The Highlands of Elgin. Pine Meadow is offering a walking rate of $57 for the rest of the year (weekday or weekend) -OR- Keith Foster's new 9 at the Highlands opened in July, so it should be worth a trip to check it out. Has anyone been out there yet and have any thoughts??

For those interested you can reply or send me a PM...thanks...

Matt

Sounds great Matt. I'm free all day, I just need to be back downtown by the time the Mad Men finale comes on at 9! :)

Matt,

I'm fairly new to GCA, but would definitely be interested in
checking out this course.  I don't know if there are any spots left,
but if there are, I'll take one.  If not, maybe next time.  I have
a large American automobile and would be willing to drive if that
helps.

Looks like it's going to be a good weekend for golf in the city
where corruption is always in fashion,

Andrew C.

Andrew,

We'd love for you to join us (notice how comfortable I feel speaking for a bunch of guys I've yet to meet ;D). You'd make 9, so for now three 3somes will be in order...unless there are more takers. Do I hear 12???

The participant list for this outing looks eeirly familiar...Midwest Mashie Part II?

In the same vein as Andrew C's note, I'd be happy to give a ride to anybody who needs one.  I live in the River North area downtown.

Just played The Highlands of Elgin today.  If you like Shepherd's Crook, you'll love this course.  Y'all are gonna have a blast.

I'll play if there's still room.  I played there last year when it was half old, half new, and I wouldn't mind checking out the new nine.

And Michael makes 11, one more and we'll round out three foursomes. It's not exactly Muccipalooza, but it should be a good time (and it looks like excellent weather too!).
