The course is open for play and I was led to believe it is open for public play immediately.  While it is open, and I have been told the tees, fairways and greens are in good shape, most who have played it recently say it is a bit rough around the edges still.

Makes me want to get in the car and DRIVE NOW!

How about an official outing Ran?  2012- Renovated #2, Dormie, Tobacco Road, Pine Needles and Mid-Pines, with the guest speaker (hint, hint) of your choice?  I might be able to access whore some of the lowlifes here into Forest Creek North and South as well.... ;D

2012?  More like February 2011.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

That does sound like a very fun lineup!

If I knew for sure I could play there tomorrow....I would drive up from Charleston in a heartbeat.  I haven't played many rounds recently and have never seen a Coore & Crenshaw course...

Potentially great news.  There seem to be a lot of contradictions in your posts, Jeff.  I read your blog which raises more questions than provides answers.  You provide chapter and verse on gca on the routing (not to mention the super leaving, going public, etc.) but a few months ago on your website you state:

"For the record I have nothing to do with Dormie Club. In fact I have not even seen the golf course. I am a huge supporter of what Pinehurst Resort is doing with the golf course and believe it will restore it's reputation in the world of golf as deserving of a top 20 golf course. I also feel it will help the village as well. As goes the resort so goes Pinehurst."

I am sorry Eric I don't see the contradiction.  I am no longer involved with Dormie but that does not mean I am uninformed.

I wonder how old that aerial is?
If the course now is completed (grow-in complete) that would be good news. The good thing about that aerial is how it shows the way they did six holes at a time. I only saw it one time a couple of years ago after the first six were about to be mown for play for the first time. I wanted to try to work out my finances to join. The economic situation of the last few years has been unkind to there well being.

Hopefully they will decide to bring Coore Crenshaw back to finish the detail work on the course soon.

What detail work is left for them?

Does anyone have contact info?  I'll be in that area in about two weeks and would love to take a look at it.
