Laurel Valley Golf Club is located in Ligonier, Pennsylvania
About 7,200 yards from the longest tees for a par of 71 . Designed by Dick Wilson and Arnold Palmer in 1959 with some recent tweaks by Arnold Palmer's team. Specifically hole #11 was totally re-routed.
Check out the bunker on #6 the medium length par 5. There are half a dozen bunkers around this green, all surrounded by rough and then right in the middle is a bunker with crisp sharp edges like Augusta National bunkers.
The night before we played it rained several inches making the course very soggy. I suspect playing in firmer conditions would completely change the nature of the way you play the course.
As with the Meadow Club, this part of Western Pennsylvania is as really nice spot in the world. Such beautiful vistas and terrain. A really nice place to spend four hours!

Approach shot. Supposedly Mr. Palmer’s favorite second shot in all of golf.
Hole #11
Beautiful views from your third shot location. However no real change to reach this hole in two even the yardage allows for it. You would need to hit a snap hook second to even try. Supposedly Andy Bean recently played 7 iron, 7 iron, 7iron???
Hole# 12
Someone crank of the chainsaw! ☺ A little bit reminds me of #10 at Merion or #12 at Olympic Club with a very very tight shot off the tee.

Green complex. Large, diagonal green with some very good internal contours, I just wish they would mow the rough down around the bunkers like they did on hole #6
Hole #14
ZZZzzz, sorry, not my favorite shot in golf. 200 yards, over water, to a sharp edged green. Needless to say this was the end to my decent round of golf with a big fat double bogey!
