Sunrise Pics
« on: July 01, 2010, 09:08:12 AM »
Late-afternoon sunlight pics are great.  But let's see some of your favorite pics with the long shadows going the other way.

Here are a few I took out at Ballyneal in June.  If you've ever been out there, you know the sun rises ridiculously early out there, around 5:15 a.m. or so.  That makes the wait til first tee time at 7:30 even more agonizing.

Speaking of Ballyneal, I'm going to be out there the weekend of July 17-18 and have a few open spots left.  PM me if you're interested.

Thanks so much for posting.
My overnight stay out there was one of the best golf experiences of my life.
Those pictures do a very good job of capturing the "feel" of the course/area.

Do you fellas use really good cameras? Cause when I take my photos they never come out as clear as that.

Those pictures of Ballyneal have me doing a Homer Simpson drool for pork chops. Fortunately I will get to bite into Ballyneal in just 12 days.

These have probably all been posted before.

1.  Start of a great day at Sand Hills.  I walked from the range to the 1st tee as my partner retrieved something from our cabin:

2.  Waiting for frost at Black Mesa

3.  Early Morning at the Augusta par three course

4.  It is 7 am but looks like midday at Dornoch in late June

5.  Where does this hole go?  New South Wales

6.  Say what you want about the course - Old Head is a special location (not me in the photo)

I was the first one out at Sugarloaf Mountain in Florida in April 2009. I arrived before sunrise and started taking pix as the sun rose over the practice area. Started on the back 9.

The first tee of my home course at sunrise with the mist rising from the Otterkill that meanders through the course. "kill" is Dutch for a stream or burn.
