Bill Brightly,

Many, many, many thanks for arranging play on Sunday.

Those playing Hackensack won't be disappointed, it's a terrific Banks course.

George Pazin,

Thanks for the comments.

To everyone attending, please send, via email, your shirt size to Kim.

I was told today, that we'll probably have the logoed USGA Sr Amateur shirts, which every attendee will get.
But, we need to know your shirt size so that we can order an ample supply now.

Thanks

The whole event sounds like it will be fantastic.  Thanks again for setting things up and hosting.  The Senior Amateur shirts are just an added bonus.

Please see my post on Ross green drainage if you get a chance.  It's the last post on page five of this thread.

If there is still availability, I will be coming to NY that date, and would like to see if I can work out the logistics to plug in to the outing at Mountain Ridge.    Is there a contact I can make to get the appropriate information?   Thanks

It appears that some representatives from the media will be in attendance.
When I know the full details, I'll post them.

The field for golf is pretty much full, but, I'm sure some won't be able to play and spots will open up.

TEPaul still hasn't sent in his check.
I forgot that I have to co-sign it as one of his custodians/trustees.

Ran is coming.

A number of architects will also be attending.

Jim Lipe from the Nicklaus Organization indicated that he's going to fly up from Louisiana to attend.
Mike Young, George Bahto and others will also be there.

September in Northern New Jersey is usually a good month for golf, so keep your fingers crossed that Mother Nature co-operates.

For those traveling and needing accomodations, there are an inordinate number of hotels/motels in Fairfield, which is 5 minutes from the club.

It's going to be close on the shirts.
We're hoping to have them, but if not, don't forget to provide Kim with your mailing address so that we can ship them to you.

I've seen the logo and it's quite nice

I think, in the future, I'll have a special logo, a GCA.com logo crafted for my events.

Played in the rain today and the fairways and greens were firm and fast.

Some great hole locations as well.

The hole locations will be highly competitive on all holes except # 7, a punchbowl where we're limited to cupping areas

I'm going to offer a cash reward for anyone who can two putt the 6th green, provided they hit the green in regulation.
It's about a 500 yard par 5, so hitting the green in regulation shouldn't be daunting.

The hole locations will be "sporty" and give you an appreciation for what Ross crafted over 80 years ago.

When you consider that the course opened at about 6,600 in 1929, it had to be an overwhelming challenge.

As I said, one set of tees will reflect the 1929 yardage for those willing to play from there.

I can't believe I forgot to ask if you want a caddy for your round on Sept 27.

Since the 27th is a monday, we'll have to notify the caddies prior to the event.

Please email Kim and let her know if you want a caddy that day.

Thanks

Just out of curiosity, will "walking" and "taking a caddy" be one in the same at Mountain Ridge?

Not the same.

You can ride in a cart and take a caddy too

NO, we have to get the round in.

There won't be any charge for carts.

Third group at Hackensack approved and we have Dan Herrmann plus one and Joe Fairey making up a threesome, one spot left!

I would like to fill the 3rd foursome with Dan at Hackensack on Sunday if there is still space available. I have not been able to reach you and do not have your email address. Please let me know if there is still space available. I have reached out to Dan and he does not know what the status is. Thanks

While many have responded, there's still a number of attendees who haven't provided their shirt size and/or caddy needs.

Please contact Kim at KFitzgeraldMMM@optonline.net and provide the missing information.

Thanks

P.S.  TEPaul, I need your info and ......

Fellas,

Only a few days left and I still need to know if those who haven't responded will be walking or riding.

Carts are gratis.

However, A caddy will be assigned to each group.

I just need to know who wants to walk so that I can arrange for you to have a caddy carry your bag/s

I also need to know your shirt size.

And, Houston, we have a problem.

The logo for the 2012 USGA Senior Amateur has to go through an approval process that won't permit us to have the shirts by next Monday.

So, here's the question for attendees.

Do you want to wait until the logo is approved, the shirts ordered and delivered and ready to be mailed to you.

OR, do you just want a shirt with the Mountain Ridge logo ?

I'd opt for the USGA logoed shirt, but, I'll listen to what you have to say

That's another reason why I"ll also need your mailing address.

Please email KIM and provide her with your caddy needs, shirt size and mailing address

Thanks

Pat,

While I will not be able to attend (at least not without ending up in divorce court), I want to commend your efforts in putting together, what I know, will be a spectacular event.

Thanks to you for your contributions.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

JC,

Thanks

I just hope the weather holds out.

I hit balls and played a few holes at Mountain Ridge yesterday and the course is in great condition.

The forecast is calling for rain on Thursday with good weather through Monday, so right now, it's looking good.

I think we have great speakers in Brad Klein, Ron Prichard, Cliff Moore and Mike Davis.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

I was away golfing in Ireland and needed to spend today on work-related issues. I realize that I have received a number of new requests to play Hackensack on Sunday. I already have approval for 3 foursomes and will seek approval for a 4th tomorrow. Sorry for not responding sooner.

"TEPaul still hasn't sent in his check.

Patrick:

You're right about that---I do need a custodian. I did mail the check on Saturday, I think it was, after finding it in an envelop in a blazer where it had probably been for a week or more. But I actually took it to a post office and put it in a letter slot or at least that's what it sort of looked like to me.

As I believe I told you I will not be playing golf. I plan to hang around you on the course all day for the sole purpose of harrassing and annoying you. I will be armed with at least a dozen of those wiffle ball golf ball things that I plan to fire at the back of your head on most every hole and perhaps even when you're at the podium during the morning speeches. I just know you are going to say something derogatory about me in that morning meeting and when you do you can expect to have to duck a wiffle golf ball fired at you from the back of the room.

By the way, Patrick, I plan on getting up really early and driving up from Philadelphia but would you remind me again what state Mountain Ridge is in?

Tom,

I don't think you are much of a threat. Pat's nurse has been trained to handle such things, and can handle all the balls you can shoot off.
