To all my good friends and members of GCA.

Good ole Pat Mucci told me to swing a Medicus heavy club to get my golfing strength back..... swing it, I can hardly pick it up.
Bob, no wonder your golf game isn't improving yet, NOT the Medicus, the MOMENTUS !.

They do make a senior version that once you master, you can abandon and use the regular version.

I can relate to the loss of strength and balance, but, like an elastic band, you'll come back, slowly but surely.

Remember, the best medicine is that you have to have GOALS, like drubbing Ran, humiliating TEPaul and making Mike Sweeney wear Notre Dame shirts.

I'll send those bozos out to you as soon as I finish with them.

Take little steps until you hit your stride, remember, you have 30 days before I get my phone call. ;D

Bob,

Lazarus was the first Mulligan. I don't believe you've ever taken a mulligan before. I sure am glad you had one saved up.

Bob,

Unfortunately, most come to understand my motto after they've had an episode such as yours and mine.

My motto ?

"You can't play enough golf"

I look forward to another round together.

Now THAT is the one I was waiting for.

BTW I'll take Mucci and Huntley against any other fourball you want to name.  Call it "The Match", 2011 version.

This is a happy day.  Wonderful to see you on here again, my friend.

Bob,

Thank goodness for Wikipedia otherwise I would have to contact my old Latin teacher Henry Bender (he's Googlable) for a translation of who Lazarus was.  :D

This is great news Bob. Welcome home! I cannot wait for you to get stronger and back on your feet again. I will work hard to become travel worthy and head your way. As Dan King said it may be my best chance to win $20 from you. The smart money is on you though. I hit a few balls Saturday and it felt great.cheers

Pleased to hear you are on the mend Bob. I am sure the World Cup will help keep you entertained over the coming weeks - and then there is Pebble Beach, Wimbledon etc. Much to look forward to!

I ditto everyone above.
Remember in the golf machine the club is be swung like it is very heavy.  Maybe now you will have that feeling!
It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

Great to see a post from you Bob. If you can't swing a club I am sure sitting by the Pacific in Monterey just admiring the scenery is a decent compromise!

If a player insists on playing his maximum power on his tee-shot, it is not the architect's intention to allow him an overly wide target to hit to but rather should be allowed this privilege of maximum power except under conditions of exceptional skill.
