Bob,

That was a very special trip to Nebraska. Here's hoping some good memories will help bring a speedy recovery. God Bless.

Neil

And just a reminder that last picture is from another special trip of Pebble, Cypress, and MPCC. I am sorry to say that we did not have a camera the day that we took Bob to Fishers Island. He has said on more than one occasion it was one of his five favorite days of golf and goodness knows Bob has seen some wonderful places.

Never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Huntley, but just by exchanging an occasional IM and reading the man's post it is easy to tell that he is a genuine gentleman.  Not something that can be said that often anymore.

God speed and best wishes to him and all of his family.

I wish to add my prayers as well.  It was my good fortune to have played the Shore with Bob a couple of years ago.  It was one of the most enjoyable days I have ever had - and I don't mean the golf or the perfect weather.

Get well soon Bob.

Bob it is at times like this that your African blood and spirit will stand you in good stead! Wishing you a speedy return to health - and, of course, the links!

I have had the good fortune to correspond with Bob offline on a couple of issues.

Bob - it is my hope that you will soon be well enough to read these heartfelt messages and that it won’t be too long before you shoot below your age once again.

Take care - Lyne

Without a doubt he is among our best.

It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

I called Bob a couple of weeks ago to check on his health (I work in the field)  and he admitted that he was having some difficulties.
I am deeply saddened by these latest developments.

His wisdom, character and generosity are unmatched.

Wishing you the very best, Sir Bob.

Many of us have great memories of first talking to and meeting Bob, or spending a day with him on the course.  A great gentleman, and, like the rest of us, I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

I have been away from the computer for nearly five days and I must admit that though I've never met the man opening this thread and reading the news struck me like a kick in the stomach.  Bob Huntley is one of the members of this site I would most like to meet.  I'm not a particularly religious person, but my prayers for what they are worth are with him and his family.
Some days you play golf, some days you find things.

I'm not really registered, but I couldn't find a symbol for certifiable.
