I have been reading the discussions on this site for a couple years now and finally decided I wanted to join in the fun.

A little bit about myself...I attended Penn State for landscape architecture to pursue an eventual career designing golf courses.  I went on to study golf course architecture at Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland.  It was a great year studying, walking and playing many great golf courses.  Now, I am the project coordinator for a golf course construction company near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts and hearing yours...

Jason

What were your favourite courses to study golf course architecture in GB&I ?

The most influential courses that I visited were Royal Aberdeen, Gleneagles (King's), Lahinch and Walton Heath (Old).

Some interesting selections - could you possibly expand your thoughts as to why they were your favourites ?

Welcome from another Burgh guy. Let me know if you want to grab a beer sometime.
