I drove through South Carolina on I-20 twice in the past 5 days. As I am sure that many of you do, I imagine courses or holes on the landscape that I am driving through (to avoid hearing: "How much farther Dad?"). The area along I-20 around Aiken, SC within about 25 miles of the Georgia/South Carolina line seems to me like God created it for Golf. The soil seems to be somewhat sandy, it has a good mix of hills and plains and a good variety of trees and the area has a great climate (other than this weekend's snow storm). Other than Palmetto, are there other great courses around there? Would you agree that that would be a great area to build a course?
