Are we to assume that just because you haven't posted pictures of your girlfriend/s, wife and relatives that they're all ugly to the bone.

If (hypothetically...that means it's conjectural) my wedding album had fourteen (14) pictures, and my wife were only shown from far away (in soft, glamour-shot style), then I'd probably agree with you.

But in that case, maybe I'd want to spend much more time on this website, giving me the chance to drive double-wide beverage carts through the holes in your line of "logic".

As it is, I don't spend much time here, so it is safe to say that the absence of pictures of my beautiful better half is indicative of nothing.  But here are my two youngest from last weekend...they are both baseball players but they like to play a couple times a year on a local par 3 course.  Unfortunately our oldest is still recovering from a broken arm and can't play yet.

David Elvins,

The basis for your conclusions is absurd.

That you'd present your views as fact is even more absurd.

GARBAGE IN = GARBAGE OUT

Patrick,

You sound like a creationist arguing agaisnt Science.  Science might not always be perfect but it is the best we have got.  Computer modelling might not be perfect but it must be more acurate than the evidence you have presented which to date seems nothing more than a hunch based on a small sample size.

Like creationists,  you set yourself up with an argument that is hard to technically disprove, however the weight of evidence and scientific analysis is against you.

Would you like to expand on your view with any evidence or further detail?

Kevin,

My 11 year old broke his leg about 8 weeks ago.
Hopefully, these events will have been a positive life lesson for all of them.

David Elvins.

I'll take my 50+ years of experience at those clubs over any computer model you can present.
As to the model, with its constructed flaws, the data is more than likely, more flawed.

Don't ever confuse your presentation with science.

The conclusions based on your program model and data input isn't science by any stretch of the imagination.
It's nothing more than an exercise in mental masturbation.

But, go ahead and defend the absurdity of your presentation, it's beyond comical.

but I believe that input includes type of committee, age of course, reputation of architect, location of course, location of membership, wealth of membership, innitial ranking and reputation of course, number of professional tournaments held, etc.  It then uses 36 bit mathematical modelling and S-curve regression analysis to project the Architectural integrity of the course within a range of significant factors.

As I said, GARBAGE IN = GARBAGE OUT

Don't worry about it, Patrick doesn't even know the difference between FIFO and LIFO.

Sure, I believe it was one of the courses trialled in the innital software development and led to a few refinements with regard to the input of site geometry as the initial 'site area' input did not fully allow for developing boundary issues.  I will print out the results tonight.

Probably shouldn't get involved as I really don't have the patience to argue but I have two things I want to add...

#1-  Pat Mucci.  With all due respect, as an observer of your back and forth with Kevin I never once took Kevin's comment of "double wide beverage carts" as an implication of any kind.  I saw it as a point that they could fit.  Regardless, it's semantics and I've never played the course so I won't chime in on whether or not said beverage cart could fit on anything anywhere near or on Boca Rio.  Just thought I would share a spectator's view.  Maybe now you two can drop the "imply" verses "could" beverage cart thing as isn't important anyway.

#2- David Elvins.  When I read your first comment about this "program" I thought you were kidding.  Then you posted the graphs/pictures and I thought that was the punchline.  I'm not trying to put this "program" down, but does it really exist?  Am I this gullible for even asking?  How would a program deduce whether a course would do better off with an elite stewardship vs. a broad one?  If it was an attempt at humor I think it is hilarious, if not the joke is on me and I would love to hear more about it.

Jeff,

Kevin's comments were refuted by the very photo he posted.

The cart paths aren't wide, which is what he contended.

Kevin has never seen the cart paths and the golf course and I was responsible for designing, locating and building the cart paths.

In terms of accurate data and opinions on Boca Rio and its cart paths, you and others are free to choose what you consider to be the most reliable source

Pat,

I think you missed my point completely.  I wasn't trying to agree with him re: whether cart paths are wide enough to fit a double-wide beverage cart at Boca Rio.  I am saying that I don't think he was implying that beverage carts exist there.  I think he was making an attempt to say that if there were or are they could fit on them.  Whether they fit or not?  I am not the one to judge.

Jeff,

If he wasn't implying that, why insert double wide beverage carts as a criterion ?

What he did say was that the cart paths were extremely wide, which they AREN'T.

Kevin doesn't know what he's talking about.
He's NEVER seen Boca Rio.

He's as wrong as can be on that issue, but, unfortunately can't bring himself to admit it despite the photo he produced which refutes  his allegation.

I'm intimately familiar with the cart paths, their composition, dimensions, locations, linear footage and curbing.

Kevin should stick to topics where he has some degree of familiarity, direct knowledge and experience.
Boca Rio and the cart paths at Boca Rio aren't amongst those topics.

Infer what you want from my post, but, I'm clearly implying that Kevin doesn't know what he's talking about regarding the subject of Boca Rio and its cart paths.

The only locations where additional width was provided is near certain facilities and where cart traffic might come from different directions, such as behind the 1st green adjacent to the 4th tee.
