Frank,

Your 11th is very similar to the hole Jeff Blume has on his Taxas A&M Course.  Very nice, but be careful, some on here will debate the merits of such options and question the cost of building such.

That 13th hole at south shore looks like a blast.  Straight over the swimming area.

Alwoodley, courtesy of Sean Arble here... http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,48951.0.html

I played Alwoodley in July 2005 with my wife, en route to St Andrews for the Open.  After a very pleasant match with club historian Nick Leefe and his wife, we had lunch on the terrace.  Nick suddenly jumped up and went out to the car park.  A couple of minutes later he returned with the ORIGINAL of this drawing of Alwoodley by Mackenzie, with his handwritten notes and all.  I remember thinking, wow, I hope he doesn't have an accident and destroy that prize!

Ed Oden,

You've got to get this thread memorialized in one of other categories, such as "In My Opinion", it's too valuable to let slide into obscurity in the "Discussion Group" category.

Thanks Pat.  I passed your request along to Ran.  I'm not sure I can do anything more than that.

Buffalonians were exceptionally proud of their new Meadow Links golf course when it was rebuilt in 1916. The addition of the new 9 holes prompted one reporter to proclaim that it now was "the rival of Baltusrol and Garden City".
