Small world.  This plan brings back memories. 


Frank Lloyd Wright designed the clubhouse for the Nakoma CC in the '20s, never built on this site.  However, while at Taliesin in 1969 I worked on a version of it for the Trent Jones Spring Green course to the west about 30 miles.  Never built there either.   It finally was built in the Sierra Nevadas (north of Tahoe) sometime in the 1990s as part of a residential golf course development.  Arguments go on forever whether Wright designs built after his death without his involvement on a given site are in fact "Wright" designs.  I say yes to the CA version.

This is where my father grew up playing, now Portsmouth Elks Club. Wonderful old Ross course that could use a restoration given most bunkers are now grass bunkers (which are sort of charming as they are) and the conditioning isn't great. But, for a town that has struggled as much as Portsmouth has over the last many decades, this depleted Ross gem is a perfect fit. Worth a trip for my money!!
