It's fascinating the flow of names from place to place.  A little river in Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania, which happens to also split Lancaster Country Club in two, is now the ultimate name sake of a golf course, way, way, way far away in Nevada.

Must have been the wagon that bridged the two locations together.

I love the contrasting colors and how some of the holes are framed.

I don't know what could be expected from sites like this, they are surreal landscapes and nothing about them suggests 'golf'.

With all due respects Jim, all golf courses have the same in common ----- tee box's, greens, and holes. Wouldn't it be boring if the surrounding environment was the same everywhere,. Vive la difference! I think we are fortunate to have courses in such contrasting landscapes. The aim of the game is still the same, it's just that the "pallette" is different. Wouldn't it be boring if all women looked like Sandra Bullock? How about a fiery redhead, a demure brunette, or the occasional busty blond?

Duh!  ;D Your photos?  ;)

It seemed to me that this course was getting a razzing (first half of my reply) and I don't think that it's very realistic to judge a place like this using the same criteria you might use on a course built in another, more arable, part of the world. This is a totally contrived playground that only exists because it's 'hooked' up to a life support system. (second half of my reply)

It's looks like it's probably fun to play, for the different experience.

Did they really need that retaining wall so the green didn't get too steep?
Those are some flat fairways and greens.

Nice pics Aidan
Maybe it would be better if you didn't make golf courses look as good as you do.

Why would I travel to play this course?
Thinking of Bob, Rihc, Bill, George, Neil, Dr. Childs, & Tiger.

because you were already four wheeling when you by chance stumbled upon a golf course that has 1-2% slopes - reflecting its surrounding environment of course.

It appears you all are "bagging" on this course.

I think it looks like a lot of fun to play.  Interesting shots, tricky greens...I think I would enjoy it very much.

Mac,

If you want my honest assessment, based on the pics that were posted.  It looks like they flattened out all the playing areas instead of leaving some undulation in there for fun.  Now it just looks like any other flat course that just happens to be surrounded by this cool looking terrain that I'd like to take my FJ too!!  ;D

So perhaps an opportunity missed with flat fairways, flat looking bunkers, and flat looking greens.

Kalen...

Solid points.  However, there are a couple of pictures of interesting greens...but I agree with you in general.

Still, I'd play it and probably have a ton of fun!

General Macarthur,

I too would play that course, especially today, in a nanosecond.  Let's go!
