Roko KI The Faldo Legacy Course Hole 18 A great finish
« on: January 12, 2010, 11:31:56 AM »
Of great finishes in golf this one will surely make its mark with more exposure. Par 5. Plays 508 into the wind, but when played from the dual 17th tee it had length. Hole usually plays into a wind coming off the ocean. The hole crosses water twice. 280 to get to the water of the tee and 330 to cross it in the air.

Veiw fron the tee never gets old.

To be honest this looks more like a sort of dumb beauty to me. Yes the view is great and the carry is spectacular, but 280 from the tips to a landing area that looks tight is not what I think is a great driving hole. Is it rather narrow or wide?

  Emil,

It is generous enough. But from the photos it does look small. Plays longer than 280 because of the prevaling wind. Most would use the driver.

First photo looks back toward the tee. Second shot crosses the water for the second time. 240 from the edge of the hazard to the green.

Fifteen photos of the ocean and waves crashing.........none of the hole itself. I think there is another thread going at the minute that this hole should be a part of :D

The ocean has nothing to do with it, Anthony is just trying to show the influence of the wind. ;D
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Semi punch bowl green. Approach from right funnels nicely onto green. Vegitation in and around bunkers is being thinned to reduce severity. Bunker behind green protects the long ball from the hazard.

The approach slopes right to left. Bunkers guard the left from 60 yards in.

I'm convinced I need to go buy stock in companies making memory cards for cameras and permanent storage devices for offf-loading the pics.

Sorry about the dyslexic nature of the thread. From the tee 140 to carry the first section of water and 280 to the edge of the secound water. If you wanted to fly both waters it would be 330 in the air. From the edge of the secound water it is around 240 to the green. It has a Pebble Beach No 8 feel to it, only it is a par 5 and you cross the water twice. It is the number 3 handicap. The safe play is driver, layup to 100 yards, then play in. Very well designed hole that allows for the consevitive play but also punishes the mishit.

I don't know.  The holes look kind of repetitive to me.
