  John,

I see your point. On the first page we have threads taking about The Castle Course and bunkering at Wine Valley. They have photos of real live golf courses.

Since all the other Tiger threads got deleeted I think it shows a blatent disrespect to start one more. Ran should have been consulted.

   Dr Gray

Well, there are still a few up about Tiger and the situation in general. I think as long as they don't get out of hand, maybe we are ok.

Tiger got voted the PGA Tour's Player of the Year. I think he was the odds on favorite for either definition of player.

Anthony,

One more comment on self-immolation from you is not wanted. You got me once, never again. I advised you, on what I thought would be my last communication with you, and that was for you to get some advice on your exhibitionist behavior; it seemed as though it fell on deaf ears.

Bob

Let's see, exhibitionist behavior. What comes to mind?

Robin Williams, Steve Martin, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, ...

Now, admittedly Anthony may not play in their league, but the world would be a duller place if we treated all exhibitionist behavior with a shrink.

Just sayin....

I am very much okay with that.  I also understand it if Ran has a different idea about message board hygiene.

The only thing that I might suggst to my fellow GCA members and friends is that I know of no better place on the Web to follow the Tiger news, than on Geoff Shackelford's website.  He's doing a remarkable job.  Geoff has said that his site's traffic has doubled.  Or more.  I am convinced that major news organizations and stringers who don't know much about golf (and golf writers who don't know much about tabloid journalism) but who need to report  the story, are all flocking to Geoff's site.

That might be a beter place to view, and share, bona fide Tiger stories .

Geoff was on CNN today and did a fine job.  He does have the best compilation and maybe the only real credible source web site in order to follow this complex and intracate subject.  He is attracting a very thoughtful group of posters in the comments section of the news compilations.

Sir Boab, I always envied you for that golf freindship.  But, I was wondering how Anthony's exhibitionism would stack up against that other pal of yours, Mr. Murray?  Don't actually answer that, I was just wondering...  ;) ::) ;D

  These quotes come to mind.

Have you discussed this with Ran? If not, I suggest you do so.

  ..........just plain bad manners.

It should be obvious, if not blatantly obvious, by now, that _________ couldn't give one fig about protocal.

After several threads have been delleeted concerning Tiger and his where abouts recently this week It should be obvios that Ran does not want this foolishness. It doesn't make sense if we delleete threads about the first Heisman winner (also the first pic in the first profootball draft) and his passion for golf in Chicago than why is Tigers whereabouts worthy? Double standards in golf have taken a big hit the past couple of weeks. Are there gentelman left in the game. "BLANTENTLY OBVIOUS"

My dear RJD,

There is an incredible difference. Bill Murray, Dean Martin, Steve Martin, Robin Williams and  Jerry Lewis  were and are, unbelievable talented human beings, with an intellect that would put them in MENSA. I am afraid to say that our Anthony Gray does not enter into that pantheon.

There is a vast difference between genius and narcissism, the latter, of which I am afraid,  is Dr. Gray's Achilles heel.

I don't really know many people on the site other than seeing their name posted on the site and reading their comments and I am not up to speed 100% on the theme of this thread...

but am I to understand that Bob Huntley hung out with Dean Martin?  Now that is cool!!!

Mr. Huntley, I don't know you...but I would like to.  You, sir, seem to have lived a pretty wonderful life (at least from what I can gather).

Keep on keeping on!

Anthony,   In the interests of civility is it possible to ask for a cease fire regarding this thread? Mr. Huntley has provided some information to our forum that many of us were curious about-the whereabouts of Mr. Woods. Nothing more or less. My sense is that you are trying to seek retribution for a perceived wrong on a previous thread. Bob has always been the consumate gentleman on this site. Many of us can vouch for his character both on and off the course. Consider this the Xmas cease fire similar to WWI ;)

Anthony,  Is your direct question ,have I played golf together with Bob Huntley? Yes, I have had the pleasure of his company on 3 occasions. I was fortunate to have him as my playing partner at KP in 2008. For the record I am an avid golfer but certainly far from a good player,I'm about a 12 - on a good day. Bob on the other hand played to a 3 back in the day and competed in some notable  matches. My idea of a good round is obviously the enjoyment of the vistas and the comaradarie of my playing companions. He is truly a fun man to share 4 hours with. Thru GCA I have played with a pretty eclectic group, Bob, Tom Huckaby, TEP, Wayne Morrison, John Mayhugh,Tim Bert,  Kyle Krahenbuhl , Dave Miller, Chris Cupit, Ed Getka etc. 30 years from now I will always have great memories of the times spent with these guys. I guess the holidays always bring out my hope for: Peace on Earth and Goodwill to our fellow man.I hope this answered your questions of me.            Wish you well,   Jack

  Jack,

Well stated and recieved. Sorry for responding late, but I just got back from the office. It is almst 12;00 and 39 degrees out. My self centeredness could not keep me from going in and helping someone in pain. Bob offered me advice a few days ago and I returned the same advice. He responded a little different to the same advice. You choose which one responded with class. Would love to play golf with you one day.. Help Bob with the plank in his eye since you are close friends.

Anthony.

A discussion group is like a bar, or a social club, or hell, a golf club where fine gentlemen assemble.

Bob is one of the finest gentlemen I know. There is a reason he is held in such high esteem.

You don't fit in well, hence your constant cries for attention and attention whore-ing.

You're the (annoying) member at the club that was admitted because you're a legacy, but no one wants them in their group because four hours with you is hell.

Please kindly piss off.

Thanks,

Jed

Edit:  Bob's the guy at the club who, although VERY OLD and CRAPPY at the Game, even the best players in the club would GLADLY tee it up with him, and even play from his SENIOR tees.

So let's just play nice.... ;)
