GlobalGolfPost makes its debut
« on: November 10, 2009, 02:20:48 PM »
GlobalGolfPost.com makes its debut today.  It is the brainchild of Jim Nugent, the former publisher of Golfweek, who lives in Winter Park Florida.  The free weekly digital golf publication will cover the game internationally and will be delivered free every Sunday night to its subscribers.  Nugent is a great guy who loves journalism and loves the game of golf and I wish him the best.  www.globalgolfpost.com

I signed up - awesome stuff!

Certainly has a GW feel to it and I loved the article on Faldo/Smyers looking to build the Olympic Course in Rio.

They need to make it easier to enlarge the print so that us computer dopes can read it. . .

Try clicking on the little magnifying glass near the top to enlarge the print.

I've signed up.  Best of luck to Jim and his team.  I see they've got Lewine Mair on board - there seems to have been less golf coverage in the Telegraph since she was dumped.
2014 to date: not actually played anywhere yet!
Still to come: Hollins Hall; Ripon City; Shipley; Perranporth; St Enodoc

Excellent idea. Hope Jim and his crew can make it go. It's technically similar to Sporting News Daily (horizontal layout, downloadable, free) but looks more sophisticated. Best of luck!

I did try to magnifier (sp?), but then it's unwieldy since it doesn't fit on a single page. . .

Not to be a d!ck, but perhaps:

1. Get a bigger monitor
2. Get glasses

You can also download and print out any or all pages, handy for those without laptops.
