T+L Golf Goes Digital
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:31:52 PM »
Hey All,

Just got the email this afternoon for the digital re-launch of T+L Golf. I don't know all the details, but I thought it was worth passing along the basics:

*It looks like Amex wants to release the digital version monthly, subject to response. Which would be cool.
*Subs are $1/per month for the first year.
*You get a $300 credit at Pinehurst for signing up.

The link:

https://subs.timeinc.net/DT/tlg_digitaloffer_0909.jhtml?experience_id=249872&source_id=3&_requestid=450067

What do you guys think?

Good question.  I really miss the magazine, but not sure about their new subscription model.  One has to sign up w/o seeing a sample edition?  I don't think that makes much sense.

Tom,

I agree w/ John that they should offer a free 1-3 month trial, especially to those who subscribed in the past.

All good points. I don't know what the plan is for fulfillment, but I would definitely agree that subscribers with undelivered issues on their accounts should be able to roll in for free. But, as I say, I just found out about this today like everyone else.

How about $300 credit at Bandon Dunes for all of those who live on the west coast :)

O yeah, where did my previous T+L $$$$ go?

$1 a month - I should be able to handle it - but I agree that a 3 month free subscription would be good to whet the palate.

I'm a new member, and was excited to get this post and learn about this on GCA.

I did however just got the email tonight that this is not happening...

"Thank you for your interest in TRAVEL + LEISURE GOLF DIGITAL. At this time we regret to inform you that due to lack of customer response we will not be publishing this product."

They did send out the $300 Pinehurst gift certificate about a month ago, so if you had signed up, you should have gotten that at least!
