The last thing we need on this website is a Tillinghast conspiracy.  And maybe I don't want to play a Tilly course! ;)  The monopoly swap is a bold move indeed, strengthened by the fact that Harbour Town is barely a Nicklaus layout.  I would have picked HT under Alice Dye from reading Bury Me in a Pot Bunker.  This draft is not for the faint of heart.

I've heard Aberdeen is better than Troon anyways.

It looks like I'll be playing all of my golf outside of the US in this fantasy world.

So, my pick in the third round of the draft is:

Dr. Alister MacKenzie

Kingston Heath
New South Wales
Royal Adelaide

Good night!

I say Jay only gets two courses in each round until he gives Sleepy Hoolow back to Macdonald and GET IT OFF YOUR TILLY LIST!

Tilly did not have enough of his own designs???

Three Rochester courses off the board already.  I didn't know people played golf in that town.

We also have some controversy from those spectators who are following the draft (Mr. Brightly...).  While there are a few picks that are questionably assigned to various architects, that is the beauty of the mock draft.  Just like it is smart to draft a running back that gets receiving yards, it is a good choice to pick a golf course with multiple accredited architects.

So far it appears we've only been taking an architect once per round.  I don't think that rule was explicitly stated as far as I can tell.  Jim's original post said the following:

"Here are the ground rules.  With your pick, you get to select one architect and up to three courses he designed or co-designed.  An architect can be picked again later on in the draft with a pick of three other courses.  The Old Course would be a pick in and of itself."

Can you confirm for me that I can pick an architect that has been picked in the third round?  I don't want to reveal my pick until the confirmation is provided as I don't want to lose my pick in the 4th round as well.

Thanks.

Based on the little rules we have it looks like yes you can pick the architect again in the same round with 3 of his other (non-picked) courses.
Did you know World Woods has the best burger I've ever had in my entire life? I'm planning a trip back just for another one between rounds.

Blah - an architect should only be on the docket once once to make it ultra interesting - although once a round is kind of understandable - multiple times per round - where is the creativity?

There are a bunch of guys not even on the list yet who have built some really compelling stuff (no Rees, I am not talking about you).
