I love trees but not on a golf course.
Let the golfer see the rabbits and other golfers, not trees. You want trees then become a forest ranger. Unlike all other hazards they have a mind of their own (our King George III speaks well of them and to them), as well as have a habit of sprouting branches in the most inconsiderate places at times, thus modifying the design intent as they mature. Therefore, I believe trees are not a designers friend, nor for that matter a Green Keepers either, in what they do to the ground (roots and water consumption).
Anyway, the hole looks so much better without them IMHO
