Nice work Whit.  For those affordable golf enthusiasts, that 3 excellent courses and great company for $40/round average.  Can't wait.

What is our limit on # of attendees at Palmetto?
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Around 22-28 depending on how many of the sponsoring members play with us.

So what's the format - Four ball, foursomes, singles? I pity the poor son of a gun that has to play my wayward drives!

Any other DC/Northern Virginia guys making the trip?

Excellent response so far!!! Only six spots remain open for Palmetto... don't wait too long!

Possible course for Thursday:  The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, SC. A Davis Love III course designed by GCA.com's very own Paul Cowley! http://www.lovegolf-design.com/

Possible course for Monday:  Columbia Country Club. Designed by Ellis Maples, Columbia CC offers 27 holes that are very reminiscent of Pinehurst. This is the home course for GCA.com stalwart Brent "Ace" Hutto. http://www.columbiacountryclub.com/CCC_home.htm

More details to follow.

I am planning to fly into and out of Columbia.  Augusta would be fine for the first two days but a long way from Camden.

Columbia, SC would be the most convenient.

I have done a lot of calculating and figured out I'm going to drive from Pensacola to Aiken.

Is anybody interested in playing Longshadow Thursday November 5 on the way, at say 1 p.m.?

Looks like it's another 2 hours east on I-20 to Aiken.  Cocktails at 7.  Who's in?

Bill,

That may wok for me, depending on route. I'm driving from Michigan, so I have options. I just don't have decisions yet. :)

Two things I know for sure - (1) you won't be sorry about playing Longshadow (maybe we can get the architect down for a round  ;) ), and 2) we will both have sore backs and asses after those long drives!

That would be fun, hope you can make it.  The routing is pretty simple - I-69 / I-65 / I-24 / I-75 / I-20.  14 hours.  MapquestTM.

Who else is up for Longshadow?

Excellent!  I will give Mike Young a call and see if I can coerce him into joining us!  We will need to hot foot it on to Aiken apres golf, no hanging around for a few pints.
