The first rule of the GCA forum is, I will not post pictures without letting everyone know what course its from!
The second rule of the GCA forum is, I will not post pictures without letting everyone know what course its from!
(unless the whole point of the thread is to guess where the hell it is)
 ;D

Do I ask too much? Am I being a bit anal?  ::)

Cheers,

ps Ulrich beat me too it with a photo of St Enodoc looking out over the church to the sea beyond (even if he didn't mention where it was for the uninitiated  ;D Great photo!

Those are the best pictures I've ever seen of Friars. The course has come along and changed so much since I was there for construction. #1 and #9 were both tree lined on the right during construction, without the clubhouse being completed. The course just seems to get better and better as more recent pics are posted. Looks like Bakst, Jones and Kidd have it figured out!

Where's this one from, Tony?

Scott -- Sorry for the delay. That's the first green at Prairie Dunes looking back up the third in the background on the left.

This picture, more than perhaps any other I have ever seen, makes me want to get out there and play golf. Helps that it was taken on arguably my favourite spot on any golf course I have ever played, but I think it's just a great pic. Taken incidentally by GCA's Kevin Pallier.

13-15 at NSWGC is the best mix of amazing scenery and great golf holes I have played (rivalled by 5-7 at NSWGC and 13-15 at North Berwick (West)!) This pic is of the second shot to #13.

I really like the look of this pic.

I like the dichotomy of all the man-made stuff down the right and the apparent natural stuff down the left

Not a good pic, but I love the fact that there is a golf hole out there in the seemingly flat distance which can't be detected in the slightest.

Seen above, but what a sight!

What golf is about.

Ciao

Here are mine:
The first one is Rustic Canyon's 13th, on a misty and cloudy wednesday morning... I could play this hole forever...
the second one is Royal Dornoch, the view from the 5th hole. Not really a great photo, but a magic, cloudy day on the links.

My daughter drinking from the water fountain on vacation. Not a golf photo, but it sure makes me smile!

   Tony,

I would love to golf with a man one day that knows what is important in life. Great pic and thanks.

To all,

If it wasn't for Sean's generous sharing of this wonderful vantage spot, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to create this image. Please credit Sean for this photograph of a wonderful palette within which we get to play and work.

Aidan.

There is nothing that has ever given me more butterflies than standing on the first tee looking down the fairway at the old course...nothing.  As I looked down on my ball to hit it, my eyesight went black and I just hit my drive totally by feel. Unfortunately, I don't even have a photo of the view from the first tee - does anyone out there have a photo of it to share?  If it is already on this blog, I will look for it as I haven't had time to look through them all yet.

Well, the Pinehurst area is not really known for 'spectacular vistas' or 'signature holes'  The 3rd at Pine Needles would probably be the hole that comes closest in that regard.
