The conspiracy...
« on: June 12, 2009, 02:03:32 PM »
Where did all the posts go?

All my brilliant thoughts, comments and architectural analysis on Bethpage Black and the photos and telling Matt he doesn't know a darn thing about 18...  ;D

It's a CONSPIRACY I tell you!

YOU WON'T SILENCE ME! YOU WON'T SILENCE ME! YOU WON'T SIL...........

I noticed too! I was about to put number 16 up and now we're missing 15, 14, maybe 13. I've got all the image posts backed up in MS Word, but I'd hate to lose the commentary.

Blame Mike Cirba, he typed his JFK conspiracy debunkation last night and awoke the sleeping giant!

Next comes the black hole with a Romulan mining ship charging out of it to alter the course of every gca thread...

Guys, think about it...

First Tom Paul CLAIMS that he's going to Hawaii and won't be on site "for a while"... and during the middle of contentious Merion debates to boot!

Now nearly a day's worth of posts have disappeared from EVERY THREAD!

They are here I tell, They are here!

Tom Paul has been taken and is being "probed" by them at this very moment!

Call out the Pennsylvania National Guard! To ARMS... Its a conspiracy to stop quality golf course architectural conversation! To ARMS...

I should have known there was something wrong when matt Ward's last comment said, "Yes Phil, A drivable par-4 on the 18th at Bethpage Black is a STUPID idea! You are right! You are BRILLIANT!"

It's pretty apparent that the sheer bulk of Merion-related threads have created some sort of gravitational black hole and all other threads have been sucked into it.I just hope TEPaul can survive and bring Dring back with him.

There was a hiccup as I tried to quote and reply to an IM, when it finally came back it said I couldn't quote a nonexistent message, and the message was gone!

Think about it! The only way you can quote a message is to click the message's quote button! This however is the norm for software development. Don't put any thought into error messages. A better message would be "Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair".

This just in...

June 12th 2009... Bethpage State Park has just been renamed the Joe Burbeck I designed this place and all of the golf courses, tennis courts, clubhouse, polo fields and all the rest of the crap (oh yeah I did a great caddy program too and Tillinghast was an idiot State Park

There are unconfirmed reports of massive piles of May 2006 and June 2002 issues of Golf Digest burning on a grave in a Toledo, Ohio graveyard where A.W. Tillinghast was mistakenly reported as being buried... We understand there is a bizarrely dressed leader named simply "Ron" of a group chanting in hopes that... wait... it's getting clearer... YES, that's it... They are chanting over and over and over, "Tilly Roll Over... Tilly Roll OVer... Tilly Roll OVer..."

WHO WILL SAVE GOLF ARCHITECTURE HISTORY NOW?!?

Who can recreate our missing posts? Who can restore our missing pearls of deductive reasoning? Who can find our flights of fancy for us?

Where is crack independent golf course architecture researcher Joe Bausch? WHERE IS INDIANA JOE?

Oh My GOD! They've got MIKE CIRBA NOW TOO!

First he says in Post #13 "I finally write something worthy of a Pulitzer for short essay and get whacked by the GCA Gremlins..."

Then a new post instantly appears as Post #14 "I believe it was the ghost of "Far and Sure" insisting that Phil Young damn well better recognize him for who he was!"

And it had a.... SMILEY FACE AT THE END OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not MIKE CIRBA, PLEASE NOT MIKE....

A quick look at a thread he would have participated in, shows he as posted as recently as June 9.
