There's no way Tiger is going to lose this one

Bay Hill: Tough golf course where Tiger can just hang in there and let everybody fall under pressure... you can already count this week as a W for Woods

Sean O'Hair's looking pretty good.  Could have been round of the year (so far) if he parred 9.

Philippe... run away.  He's addicted to saying Tiger won't win, and even admits it below.  I never received my $2.   ;)

"I wasn't saying I thought Tiger would win, but I'd love to take that bet at this point. One shot off the lead is too good to pass up. I'm not a big bankroll guy when it comes to betting."

Tim Bert:

Well, I am, and if you're going to put your money were you mouth is you can't whimp out now. I'll bet you a buck or two at the most!!!

Have we got a bet? You say Tiger wins---I say he doesn't.

You see, I've got a ton of experience in betting in sports and I know how to really evaluate these athletes at any point in time. It's like with the ponies you can pick up a little move here or there in training or whatever and it can tell you a ton and you bet accordingly.

Woods had a good day yesterday but it won't last, basically it can't. I picked up the key as to why yesterday. Whenever he gets up to take his stance he has this new and very odd little move where he quickly slides his right foot back over to his left foot momentarily. This is a real giveaway and a clear indication his entire ACL is burnt toast. He cannot last in this tournament and it may even be the giveaway that indicates the end of his career.

Watch for it today. If he doesn't do it like he did yesterday you might have a chance but if he's still doing it today there's no question I'm gonna own you come Sunday.

How about dinner on me if you ever make it to Nashville and no posting on Merion threads for a month if he wins?  Do you have that kind of confidence?

If not, I accept the $2 fallback.

How about dinner on me if you ever make it to Nashville and no posting on Merion threads for a month if he wins?  Do you have that kind of confidence?

This was supposed to read "dinner on me if you ever make it to Nashville if he loses and no posting on Merion threads for a month if he wins."

I was a little worried when he fell 3 or 4 back, but what a six hole finish that was.  Will you be mailing the check for $2 or driving it down to me?  ;)

I'm guessing that since you never responded to my Merion thread challenge that you will be instead opting for the $2??   ;D

Easiest $2 I ever made.   ;)

God only knows why I ever assume Tiger Woods won't win. I've done this about a dozen times and I've never been right. What he did this week was different, though, and one for the ages! Even he said in the end that this one topped them all.

Can you send it priority overnight via Fedex?  If it costs more than $2 you can just send an empty envelope.

If you send the $3 bill, do you mind if I make the change in the form of 400 Farthings?

Seriously this web site is devoted to architecture.  Never ending talk about Tiger just puts this web site on even with every other stupid web sites and The Golf Channel in all talk about Tiger.

Are you all being bribed to encourage the deletion of this thread in order to eliminate the record of this $2 debt?

He's paying you 80 cents each, isn't he?

There is NO WAY to defend posting something like this unless you are absolutely going to take ALL bets!

Has anyone ever visited the Yahoo answer site?  Go to sports and then golf.  Below are the real questions which I cut and pasted.  This web site use to have a number of people that really knew stuff about architecture.  It is slowly developing into a run of the mill web site with these type of stupid questions.

OK, who's gonna start demanding the "Food and architects" thread be shut down as well? Equally off-topic.

Where the thread was suppose to lead is the fact that courses were the field stays around par in the first two days, it seems like all Tiger has to do is to stay there, not play particularily great, then his name is on the leaderboard for the weekend and pressure take care of the other players.

Long straight narrow courses definitely favor Tiger (Firestone, Bay Hill, Medinah)

It's freaky!

I love to see him win anytime; I can just hardly believe how he does it sometimes. I think I owe somebody a bunch of farthings.

Good (early) call, Penguin!

I don't know how to effectively lobby for the job exactly, but I'd like to officially nominate myself, here, for president of the Tiger Woods Fan Club.

Unreal.

Sorry for feeding the OT fire, but I feel lucky to be watching Tiger play.

I feel like I'll be telling stories to my grandchildren about the things we're seeing him do - (and of course I'll have HD Images and sound to back it all up...)

I really enjoy watching him.

Ditto, what a pleasure to have HIM back. I was glued to the TV all day. Such good threater.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta
