There is no doubt Lancaster will be a stern challenge for the Women.  Congratulations to those at Lancaster CC.

Saucon Valley this year and Lancaster in 2015 for the Women's Open.

Merion this year for the Walker Cup and the US Open in 2013.

Aronimink for the PGA Tour stop in 2010 and 2011.

Eastern PA golf courses will be in the news.

LCC has been under the radar for a long time and the membership is excited to open the club to wider audience.  No question, Ron and Jim's work had a lot to do with the selection.

Just out of curiosity, how far in advance is it necessary to plan hosting a major? Is there really a need to plan it 6 years out?

Just wondering, nothing nefarious.

Glad to see that LCC is still in Lancaster.  The SF Chronicle's article this morning put it in Far Hills, NJ.  Once you get east of the Mississippi the states get so small we can't tell the difference out here in the west.  ;)

From downtown Philly, Lancaster is about 50 miles by way the crow flies; from the outskirts, its maybe 35.  Time with traffic considerations from PHL is about an hour.

THIS IS VERY EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ...as I live less than a couple miles from the course!
