What if we converted from the Doak scale for these ratings to emoticon ratings? Everyone could just pick the emoticon that provides the closest emotion they feel when recalling a course they played.

It would show we don't take ourselves too seriously and it would help us carve out a niche in the ratings game.
Each rater could give each course up to three emoticons, but need only provide one.
