Lake Mohawk Golf Club, Sparta NJ

My parents are thinking about moving to NJ.
They were looking in Sparta and my dad told me that he saw some property on or around Lake Mohawk Golf Club.

Do any of you know anything about the club/course?
Have any of you played it or been on the grounds?

I looked it up on google and found a pretty detailed web-site.

  Check your email.  It's in a beautiful location-northwestern NJ.  Close to the Crystal Springs complex as well (10-15 mins.)  Probably about 1.5 hrs from NYC.

Lake Mohawk Golf Club is part of a private community of homes in the Sparta, NJ area.

The golf course starts with a real bang -- the 1st is a long par-4 of 450+ yards and makes you wonder what's in store for the day. I also like the par-4 3rd which is not as long but just as tough going the opposite direction.

Plenty of hills and you will find no shortage of small targets that are nicely defended in spots.

Think of the course as more sporty (in the most positive of senses) than anything else -- a fun member's course for those who are so enamored that architecture must be of the highest of highs.
