The main problem with this event was I didn't really see any of these guy really gripping or sweating hard over those putts. They mentioned that back when it first started these guys could make more in this tourney than they made all year...now thats a recipe for a pressure cooker.
Nowadays, gmafb, with guys like Choi, Phil, and Rocko...they're just playing for kicks and donating all or some of the loot to thier favorite charity. Is a guy like Phil really going to care how much he gets when he makes 20-30 mil a year otherwise in endorsments and other winnings?
I just don't see the business model for this event and how its still afloat. I'd take watching 4 players on a course like CK any day of the week. And to spice it up they each put $250k of thier own cash in the pot and try to win it back. That'd be interesting to watch.
