Golf Course Aerial (Hopefully a stumper)
« on: November 24, 2008, 03:47:03 PM »
See what you can do. I know at least one other person on the site has played here. I will post hints if no one knows within 3 hours.

Have fun.

Can you give me one hint like region?

Midwest, North, South, West, East?

I have an idea but this will help

Is it safe to assume the 18-holer north of the road is connected in some way to the 9-hole executive-like course south of the road.

Yes, they are certainly connected, but the course to the south of the road is 18 holes, though obviously substantially shorter than the one north of the road.

OK, only one guess in 2 hours, so a hint.

Southeast United States

Mostly patronized by people who have shorter hair and wear multi-colored outfits to work.

John--

Your aerial is of the Scarlet (south of road) and Gold courses at Paradise Point, situated at Camp Lejeune, the Marine base in Jacksonville, NC.  We play in a college tournament down there each year; pretty neat place.

Indeed. As I said, I knew there was at least one person from the site who had played this course.

I will post again tomorrow. One of these times, I'll find a course no one knows.

John,

Have you looked at any of Scott Burroughs's Aerials of the Day from a few years back? There's over 400, I believe.

Yes, I have seen them. Not all of them, but many of them.
