Post pics of your favorite par 3

Post your pics of your favorite par 3.  While I know that CPC 16 probably wins this in a runaway, we've seen tons of pics of that hole..

I'll start off first with #17 at Jim Enghs Redlands Mesa.

Non-zoomed in view shows how intimidating the shot is:

Zoomed in shows the cool massive rock bowl it was placed in.  Its a bit of eye candy, but just a wicked golf hole IMO with the view, location, setting and tee shot requirment.

It's not my favourite par-3, but I'll not forget playing this 100-yarder, earlier this year.

Playing in a fivesome, from about 100 yards -- with a group of pretty decent golfers, too -- no one hit the green... and, if I recall correctly, no one made par, either!

Any guesses, which hole at which course?

This #7 at Musgrove Mill GC in SC.  It is about 200/180 yards across the Enoree River.  The back falls off dramatically and any a litle right is wet.  The green is two tiered and when the pin is back it is a bear of a par.

I have some favorite par threes that I have played but tis is one I play all the time and my heart pounds each time I step on the tee.

John:

I played Leatherstocking this summer as well and enjoyed it a bunch....but I thought this hole was not the strength of the course...look at the cart path and road and fence behind the hole...there are lots of drop shots that I like better.  I think 17 at Leatherstocking was a better par 3 by far...do you have a good pic of that one?

Sorry but can you all please label your posts and not assume that we know the par-3's at all of the private clubs of the northeast and links courses of Ireland? Thanks.  :)

Bart - No pic of #17 - Of the par's I like #3 the best - nice exacting test of a long - mid iron. You can make birdie of double very easily.

I liked 12 because as a drop shot, it's short, you can be agressive but there is a price to pay for a poorly struck shot.

Back left pin has a little pucker factor in it.

This pic was from a weekago Friday - Sunny 60 degree's and had the course almost tpo myself. Alas - it's now 19 degrees and 6 inches of snow on the ground :(

#17 at Sand Hills

#11 at Shinnecock

#11 at Pacific Dunes

#17 at Bandon Trails

Ari,

It reminds me a lot of the 175 yard ninth at Franklin  Hills, a great Ross course north of Detroit. Wonderful tee shot over a valley to a elusive green enlivened by a spledid terrace.

I would post my pic but the two I would post are already here. 11 at shinny and 10 at PD. I like 10 bc it plays as 2 different holes depending ont he tee you play.

Mark,

You are good!  I grew up playing FH and have played many top courses since and this is still my favorite par 3.  That green is just so unique and gives you so many different looks depending on pin, wind, tee etc.  The back left pin can be 2 full clubs more than the front right pin.  Pity the man who finds himself above the hole with a big front 9 bet on the line.
