Brian,

I'm not so sure I'd agree with your caption from a first glance.

Could just as easily read "can we go home now?"  Lol!  ;D

You guys don't look like happy campers in that pic.  ;)

Nice stretch though.  Kind of reminds me of my own solo in '05 from SF to Miami in the middle of Katrina.  Even better when you share it with a bud like Dave.

In that case ... Olympic Marseille.  No question.

But they're sucking big time this year in the Champions League and we hardly get to see them.

Wow Patrick, that's a lot of teams in what the rest of the world calls football.  Why not pick just one?

For me it's Arsenal and then there's the rest of the world.

But you do choose some fine ones to add to your cadre outside of the EPL, anyway - each featuring former Arsenal greats.

In any case, I can certainly respect your choice of US teams as you are a San Diego guy, right?  And we have one in common - Lakers.

Good man.
And here in the US, well... one can see damn near all EPL games, so it surely is easier rooting for an EPL team.  I feel your pain.  But Le Ligue is on every so often on Setanta... if you don't have that yet, you must get it.

On my way to making birdie on the pre-watered down 11th.

That was a glorious birdie, John.

But you need to see this green now.  If anything it was watered down as you played it there.

Robert - we will indeed.

And I am loving this football interest!  There are a lot of fans in this crazy forum... most supporting EPL teams, but one must love the support for all of these.  I have nothing but respect for Real Madrid as well - how can one not?

Mike - St. Andrews New?  Royal Troon?  And yes that rocket scientist does have some kinda coil - or at least did back then when he tried to take it deep and blasted it by you.  This new controlled rocket scientist, sigh....

 ;D

JK - dammit, I am dying!  But hell I didn't make many pars myself that day so I shall not give shit just as I shall not ID that great man.

Tom,

Do not get me started on Setanta Sport and the lack thereof with Comcast here in SF.  Depressing...

I'm down to highlights on the French TV5.

Wait...  That's Kaylen on the 18th in that restored bottomless pit of a bunker...

No...  Kaylen wore a hat that day and wasn't paired with John as I recall.

Lol!

Sorry Kaylen.  Couldn't help myself.  I can still picture the look on your face at the clubhouse after finishing.  Priceless...

Brian,

Is that you and your roomie?  Which is you.

On another note:  Did you ask Crenshaw permission to take the pic of the back of his head.  If not I think we no who is the top.

That is us....I'm the shorter of the two of us.

Patrick,

I must admit, that bunker on 18 got the best of me and I lost my cool a bit...

But it didn't take away from the awesome experience of playing Pasa...I just didn't feel like walking back across the barranca to take a drop for what turned out to be several un-extractable lies for me.   ;D But alas, it was hands down the most brutal bunker I've ever been in.  :'(

Brad Swanson,

I'm wounded that there is no picture of us at Lawsonia Links.

Bogey

Mike,
If I had a photo of us from that great day, I'd have posted it front and center.  Just another good reason for us to have a rematch up at Lawsonia sometime soon.

Finally getting to see the faces behind the rants... one request can we do the all-stars from the Merion threads??

Here's the CommonGround interns from Rupert's Party at Ballyneal this summer. (Big Z) Peter Zarlengo on the far left, Mike Bowline in the yellow, myself with the Bud, Jacob Erisman to the right of me. Good times.

Patrick,

I lived in Madrid for six month last year so that is where my loyalties are.... No doubt was it the greatest sporting event I have ever been to... (although I might have to hold judgement until the second week of April 2009)

LOL!   Hell I have no delusions.  As I recall the result of this shot was pretty good... but getting there in the first place, well... I suck.

 ;D

I think it's the uphill par 5.... #6... but I could be wrong.

As for choice of clubs, one does never know the required implement until assessing the situation.  But most likely that is the putter lying on the road... can't tell for sure.
