There was a Pete Dye course in the works called Eagle's Lake Reserve, which has been suspended, if not called off entirely. I was working on a chapter about it for my Pete Dye Book, but it obviously didn't make the final cut. Here's a typically irreverent comment by the man himself:
As the Eagles Lake Reserve project was in its formative stages, Pete went before the Mayor and the planning board of Stafford Township, New Jersey. His comment was, “Your state already has the number one golf course in the world,” he said, referring to Clementon’s Pine Valley. “I hope to make it number two.”
